Conclusion
In conclusion, you now
have more awareness of what your country's ancestors went through
to keep this country united, and a country where everyone has a right by
law to be created equal. The American Civil War was not just a war
between the North and the South. It was a battle that was fought between
individuals, families, friends, statesmen, and soldiers. This war was fought
on our own soil over equality for all. Having heard the views and opinions
of the many "identities" that were part of the Civil War experience, you
can see that one's person's ideas of equal rights may different from another's.
So, as we finish our webquest, think about the past and the future.
Discuss or write your reflections on the following questions:
How would this country be different today if the South had won the Civil War?
In what ways did daily life in the North and the South change after the War?
If you had to pick one Civil War hero to report about, who would it be and why?
What lessons, morals, and values for today can be learned from the Civil War experience?
What positive aspects emerged from the Civil War experience?
What have you learned by doing this
project that you did not have as prior knowledge about the war before this
activity?
